PSL Chairman Tapiwa Matangaidze said the request for a chief executive from FIFA is driven by the desire to see the organization become more professional and operate according to international soccer standards
Premier Soccer League Chairman Tapiwa Matangaidze says he has asked the International Federation of Association Football or FIFA to second an experienced official to serve as league chief executive.
Matangaidze told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga0Nyahuye that the Premier Soccer League must become a professional organization run by a board of governors in line with international standards.
He said the appointment will advance a PSL restructuring program intended to improve the organization's administrative capacity and over time filter down to the 16 teams in the country's top football league.
