Messenger of Court Attaches Zimbabwe's NCA's Assets Over Debt

Court officials have attached two vehicles and other assets from the National Constitutional Assembly following a lawsuit brought against the non-governmental organization by a journalist claiming he is owed over U.S$4 000.00.

Columbus Mavhunga said the NCA commissioned consulting services from him but terminated the contract without cause, prompting Mavhunga to seek relief in court where his case was upheld. He confirmed the details to Studio 7.

National Constitutional Assembly spokesman Madock Chivasa told reporter Jonga Kandemiiri that those legal problems won’t deter the NCA from demanding a people-driven constitution.
